LAAFLAAF

About LAAF

A foundation built on remembrance and responsibility.

Why LAAF exists, who it is named for, and what it stands for.

Why LAAF exists

LAAF exists to turn remembrance into practical help. It is guided by compassion, service, empowerment, integrity, and community development, and it has one aim: to create lasting opportunities for individuals and families to improve their quality of life.

We work with vulnerable and underserved groups and offer four kinds of support: education, economic empowerment, skills development, and social support.

Our work begins in Iwo, the hometown and community connected to the legacy of the late Lamidi Akanji Adeoti. From Iwo, we will reach further across Osun State and, in time, the rest of Nigeria.

Late Alhaji Lamidi Akanji Adeoti

LAAF carries his name in honor and remembrance. The foundation begins its work in Iwo, his hometown, and the values on this page guide how we serve, so that his memory lives on through the good we do.

Our vision

A society where everyone, regardless of background or circumstance, has access to opportunities for dignity, independence, and lasting growth.

Our mission

To empower students, widows, artisans, market women, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable members of society through education, financial support, skills development, and community-based initiatives.

What we stand for

Compassion

We listen first and respond to people's needs with empathy.

Empowerment

We give people the resources and opportunities to support themselves.

Integrity

We are open about how decisions are made and how resources are used, and we hold ourselves accountable for both.

Sustainability

We build programs that make a lasting difference, not just temporary relief.

Community service

The well-being and development of the people we serve always comes first.

Our long-term goal

Our long-term goal is to become a trusted institution that carries this legacy forward by transforming lives, creating opportunities, and contributing to the development of communities across Nigeria.
